Happy 10th Anniversary, Superdoll

Today marks 10 years since the release of Tattoo, Superdoll's very first doll.  The revolutionized the fashion doll collecting world with their Sybarites and collectors followed them in droves to get their hands on these special doll.  In their 10 years, they have created "a world where fashion dolls reign supreme" -- a unique world that blends fashion, art, and dolls, and caters to collectors who specialize in one-of-a-kind creations to collectors who covet their larger editions.

Superdoll debuts new Sybarite!

Earlier this week, Superdoll posted a sneak peek of their new Venus Clone 1000 on Facebook.  She is a new sculpt that they're keeping under wraps until her big debut.

There isn't much more information out there just yet other than the clues in the announcement.  Vinyl?  I wonder what her edition size will be.  I wonder what her price will be.  Hopefully, the announcement comes very soon.

They also posted another sneak peek at their Instagram account.  If you follow them, click on their account name while in Instagram to see a full photo of the doll.  EXCITED!!

[UPDATE] The doll, Solitaire, was released for sale via the Superdoll website on Feb 12th at 18:00 UK time.  She sold out in approximately 5 minutes.  She was an edition size of 75 and retailed for £274 + VAT (if applicable) + Shipping.  She is considered a ravishing success.  The photo above was a teaser and the doll itself has blonde hair, ginger and marshmallow eye color, and comes wearing a black suit with loads of jewelry and some amazing gladiator heels.

Spellbound: 2014 Superdoll Chalk White collection debuts

Tonight marks the debut of Superdoll's 2014 Chalk White collection and exhibition entitled Spellbound at the FIDM Museum in Los Angeles, California.  The exhibition runs from July 31st through August 16th (just 2 short weeks!), and is expected to delight and astound collectors, fans, and visitors alike.  Be sure to check out the DollyDaily forum discussion and news about the exhibition and event.  Membership is free to join.

Entrance to the museum is free and they're open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm.  Don't miss this opportunity to see what all the fuss is about.

Superdoll surprises fans with another luggage release: GNVA

Superdoll surprised fans today with by announcing a new white luggage set called GNVA.  The 4-piece set is gorgeous and features white paneling with gold trim and linen straps.  The inside is lined in satin and features mirrors, elastic restraints straps, shoe pouches, and ribbon placement holders.  Get your set today.

Along with the announcement of GNVA, the SuperGuys also posted a photo of another studio doll called BONN.  Not much is known about her, but I would guess that she is available to those traveling to the SuperSalon in London.  These studio pieces are usually in very small edition sizes and many times one-of-a-kind.  At the time of this publication, BONN's edition size is unknown.

Downtown Drama: 2014 Superdoll Los Angeles Convention

Drama Queen Productions, in conjunction with Superdoll_Collectables, has announced their 2014 Superdoll convention called Downtown Drama and it will take place in Los Angeles CA on August 1st and 2nd, 2014.  While the VIP packages have already sold out, there are still Deluxe Packages available which include 2 complete outfits and extras.  Attendees will get a private viewing of the very first Chalk White exhibition to debut in the U.S., as well as a champagne reception and a Saturday luncheon.  Check out Drama Queen Productions website for registration information.

Enclosure Royale

This week, Superdoll released a new deluxe fashion entitled Enclosure Royale.

 

This gorgeous ensemble consists of a double neck cravat under the ultimate in miniaturised silk houndstooth weave, a tailored sleeveless jacket with yellow insert piping detail. This goes over the yellow ruffled petticoat that pushes the gathered houndstooth silk skirt to it's perfect silhouette, and white hold-up hose and suspender belt complete the inner workings of this winning ensemble. Accessories include a gloss PVC tricorn hat trimmed in yellow binding and fierce black netting, a skull top walking cane and yellow courts bearing post heels in perspex. A black gloss PVC belt and as a finishing touch, a lace edged kerchief to wave the jockeys on their way.

Superdoll Luggage

Today sees the release of LNDN, Superdoll's gold luggage set, and Transit_B the soft-sided matching weekender and garment bag.  This is the third release of limited edition Superdoll luggage, and the metallic gold does not disappoint.  A few months ago a kelly green faux croc printed luggage was release entitled BRLN, then about a month ago a black set entitled  PRS was released and sold out quickly.  The black Transit_B 2-piece soft-sided set is also still available.

On the back of the recent issue of Haute Doll Magazine there was a Superdoll ad that showed a few more color variations.  I wonder if they will also be released for sale soon.

IDC 2014

IDC 2014 is upon us and thus far, Superdoll Collectables in in attendance.  The SuperGuys brought with them a ltd 10 Salon outfit called Tokoyaki and a ltd 5 Salon doll called Londra.

The SuperGuys have said that the gold luggage featured in the photo will most likely go on sale Monday, June 2nd at the Supersite.
