New 2010 Spring/Summer Trico* fashions have been released

Check out the BIC website. They've got the new 2010 Spring / Summer Trico fashion separates listed as well as two sets that assemble a few of the separates into a complete fashion at a slight discount.

Also, whatever's not listed in the photo already will be up in about 10 days. The items are not due until August so this is just a pre-order. Most of last year's collection sold out at pre-order, so if you like anything it's probably best to get it on order.

There are so many cute items in this collection.

Of course, we've got a discussion going on in the DollyDaily Community about this collection.

2010 Nu.Fantasy dolls make their debut

In 2008, Integrity Toys debuted their Nu.Fantasy collection, a spinoff of the Nu.Face collection, that featured contemporary interpretations on Fairytale themes exclusively for the Japanese market. "Red Riding Hood" Yuri and "Wild Wolf" Kumi quickly became collector favorites from all around the world.

Today, the next two dolls have been announced and are currently for sale at BIC Co. Ltd. in Japan. Kumi and Yuri are dressed as sisters "Snow White" and "Red Rose" from the The Grimm Brothers fairytale of the same name (which is all together different from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The dolls are designed by Daisy-D, a very famous artist in Japan. They're limited to 300 pieces each, but that number is being divided into Japanese market and International, so the number for everyone outside of Japan is much more limited.

"Snow White" Kumi comes dressed in a white calf-length dress with black embroidery, ribbon details, and lace trim. She also comes with a cute apple.

"Red Rose" Yuri is dressed similarly yet different. Her red calf-length dress also features black embroidery, ribbon details, and lace trim. Her accessory is a silver colored hand mirror.

10th Anniversary Silkstone

Here is a sketch of the new 10th Anniversary Silkstone BFMC doll. This year, the Barbie Fashion Model Collection celebrates it's 10th Anniversary. I seems like only a few short years ago this collection made it's debut with three gorgeous dolls (Lingerie #1 Blonde, Lingerie #2 Brunette, and Delphine) and two fantastic outfits (Lunch at the Club, and Garden Party).

Actual photos have not been released yet, so all we have to go on is this gorgeous fashion sketch by the one and only Robert Best -- the main man of the BFMC...the head honcho...silkstone daddy. But rest assured that she will be available this year.

You can discuss all of the fun at the DollyDaily Community.

Librium

A few weeks ago Superdoll Collectibles™ held a special party in honor of their 5th anniversary.  The event was held in conjunction with the 2010 Paris Fashion Doll Festival (PFDF), but was not part of the Festival itself.  Speak + Spell was an exclusive VIP soiree held for a small group of forty or so Sybarite™ fans on the Thursday prior to the start of the Festival, and promised to be an event like no other.

This is the flyer used to promote the events.
Speak + Spell was held at the Musée de la Poupée in Paris, France, where attendees were given a preview of the new six-month exhibit featuring five plus years of Superdoll™ deliciousness.  What a treat it must have been for the attendees not only to experience the gorgeous creations by the Superguys, Charles Fegen and Desmond Lingard, but to actually experience it with them in person.  Imagine being able to chat with Charles and Des as they discuss their inspirations for the doll collections, one-of-a-kind outfits, and the exquisite Chalk White™ dolls.
During the party, attendees were given a commemorative “extreme edition” doll named Librium™ (ltd. 50 pieces).  Swoon!  This girl is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous, and is a truly special tribute to Superdoll’s past.  Charles kindly explained that Librium™ features the DC d’Royce™ sculpt; a special sculpt that is rarely used.  During the past 5 years, it has only been used for some OOAK Chalk White™ dolls, the limited Cosma Shiva Galaxina™ event doll, the Innoqui™ 14 inch porcelain doll collection, and now Librium™.  I asked if they will use the DC d’Royce™ sculpt again.  He answered elusively, “we may do, depending on our whim.”  This is the only time the DC d’Royce™ sculpt has been used on a doll manufactured in China, and I asked the Superguys why they chose to use the DC sculpt for this special doll.  Charles simply said, “because she is gorgeous and she shares the same birthday as Venus.”  I think I can speak for Sybarite fans everywhere when I say that I wholeheartedly agree that DC is a gorgeous sculpt and most definitely worthy of this noteworthy incarnation.

The gorgeous Librium in all her glory.
What makes Librium™ even more special is that she is an homage to her past.  Her faceup is a recreation of Desmond’s Valium™, a doll that Charles painted for him when they first started the Sybarites™ project.  Sybarite™ fans have always coveted that special doll, so imagine the look on their faces when they first gazed upon Librium™.  I think I would have fainted.  But the homage doesn’t stop there.  Librium’s hair is a tribute to Surreal™, their first production doll from China, and her gauntlets honor Tattoo™, the very first retail Sybarite™ doll.  Further, the red fishnet on her dress bodice is from the original Haute Doll magazine photos of Fugu™, and her hose reflect this too.
On a side note to connect Librium™ to Valium™ even more, Charles told me, “Valium™does have the same outfit as Librium™, but in a color variation that [he] did for her especially.  She has not been seen wearing it as of yet.  Valium™ is currently on exhibition in the ICÔNEX exhibit in Paris and she wears the prototype jewelry from Librium™.”
Three other dolls were debuted during the 2010 PFDF.  Tick™, the Disco 3000 event doll for registered PFDF attendees, Tock™, a limited edition doll that was available at the Superdoll Collectibles™ sales table, and the Musée de la Poupée exclusive, Slipper™.  While all of the dolls are part of Superdoll Collectibles™ Fifth Anniversary celebration, Librium™ is truly a “special” doll and will hold a place in Superdoll™ history.  Lucky are the few who own this dazzling creature.  She is definitely a stand-out doll that brings the past and present together and then points them directly to the future.
If you find yourself in Paris between now and 19 Sept 2010, please be sure to check out the Musée de la Poupée to see an amazing collection of art and craft that is Superdoll Collectibles™.  And while you’re there be sure to pick up the Musée’s beautiful exclusive Sybarite™ doll, Slipper™.
Please note that the images for this blog post are used with permission, are the property of Superdoll Collectibles™, and may not be reproduced by any means whatsoever or used anywhere on the web without prior authorization from Superdoll Collectibles™.  All trademarks are the property of Superdoll Collectibles™.

Dolls in Oz 2010

The Dolls in Oz doll convention in Australia is underway and the two Integrity Toys exclusive dolls have been announced. There seems to be a bit of confusion as to which doll is the Convention doll and which doll is the Companion doll, but let's face it. Both dolls are CAPTIVATING.

"Regal Estate" Agnes wears a black bustier dress with a creamy jacket and black bow belt. Her patterned fishnet hose are accented by the clear blue "jelly" heels, and her black and blue necklace and earrings complete the look.

Magnetism FR Monogram is breathtaking in her beautiful strapless cerise satin gown with oversized bow detail on the bodice. She also comes with her cerise and black satin wrap to keep her warm on those chilly nights. She comes complete with "gold" earrings, and bracelet, but the most dazzling part of her is her glamourous make-up palette. She dons gold metallic eye shadows partnered with striking red lip paint -- a winning combination for a "Hollywood Premier."

As always, check the DollyDaily Community for up to the minute discussion about these gorgeous girls.

2010 Paris Fashion Doll Festival, Sybarite style.

It's been a few weeks since the close of the Paris Fashion Doll Festival ( PFDF 2010 ) where SuperDoll introduced a mini-collection of dolls. First on the list was an exclusive doll named Librium from their private Speak & Spell event. Librium features the elusive and exclusive DC d'Royce sculpt. This gorgeous creature is limited to 40 pieces, and has superfans squealing with delight.

The PFDF Disco 3000 Sybarite event doll is named Tick (ltd 150). This gorgeous girl feature a delightful black updo with a silver clockwork strapless bodice and a white feather mini-skirt. A longer floor-length white feather skirt also accompanies the doll.

The sales room opened on the final day of the festival, and the SuperGuys had one last surprise up their sleeves, Tock (ltd. 100). This indigo-haired goddess features a clockwork mini dress in gold with hot pink tights. Only 50 pieces of Tock were available at the sales room and she quickly sold out. The remaining dolls were sold at the SuperSite days later.

The last doll to debut in Paris is Slipper. She's a Musée de la Poupée exclusive limited to 300 pieces. Known as a "basic" doll, Slipper features an amazing pink satin lace up corset and panties. She has a platinum flocked head and soft delicate facial features. The Sybarite exhibit lasts through the summer at the Musée and is sure to be a treat for doll lovers around the world. The Musée will also have two Sybarite wigs for sale in April. Keep checking the DollyDaily Community for more details.

It's rumored that there will only be one more Sybarite doll between now and Fall, 2010 that will be released. In the Fall, SuperFrock is rumored to debut redesigned Sybarite body.
